SmartDog Training is all about you and your dog. We concentrate on training the individual to think like a dog; therefore achieving a lifestyle that both the owner and family pet will be comfortable and most of all happy with. We specialize in basic, intermediate, and advanced obedience, as well as behavioral modification.

SmartDog Training was started by Heather Rutt who in 2003 graduated Indiana University with a concentration in animal behavior. She then attended Patriot K9 Academy, one of the most prestigious dog training centers in the country, where she was certified in Obedience, Search and Rescue, Narcotics and TNT detection, Personal Protection, as well as Behavioral Analysis/Modification.
